Knitting for Charity
Uniquities Yarn Shop is now closed.
Knit Night is Thursday, April 13, and, as usual, will be at Patrick Henry Library (corner of Center St. and Maple Ave.) in Vienna. We meet from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the room just to the right as you enter the building. Adrienne Bray will be there to collect any donations you may have for Knitting for Neighbors. Please take advantage of this opportunity to drop off donations even if you can’t stay for the evening.
WOOL-AID DONATIONS ONLY: Donations of wool yarn and roving, as well as finished hand-made wool garments may be dropped off at Maple Avenue Market, 128 Maple Ave. E. during their normal business hours ( www.mapleavenuemarket.com). While you are there, you will want to browse their selection of local foods and other products. The selection changes with the seasons, and there is always something new! Please be sure to thank owners Sara and Chris Guerre for being willing to help us out in this way. Please visit www.wool-aid.org to learn more about this worthwhile organization.
DONATIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS: While we are working to arrange regular drop-off points for Project Linus, Knitting for Neighbors, Pine Ridge, and others, I will be happy to collect donations at Knit Night on February 9 and March 6 (Patrick Henry Library in Vienna). Please bring your donations with you if you are coming to Knit Night, or drop them off between 7:00 and 9:00 pm if you don’t plan to join us. PLEASE DO NOT BRING DONATIONS TO THE LIBRARY AT ANY OTHER TIME!!!
